Introducing: Van Cleef & Arpels novelties

Watches & Wonders 2023

We spoke to the President and CEO of Van Cleef & Arpels Nicolas Bos about the new collection of jewellery timepieces, automaton mechanical marvels, and projects of the brand for the future.

Known for its authentic jewellery pieces this year Van Cleef & Arpels decided to reinterpret the iconic designs from the historical heritage of the brand and show that time is, in fact, an emotion.

The story of the jewels that tell time starts with the emblematic aesthetics of the Perlée and Alhambra collections, supported by the new version of secret watches, hidden within infamous Ludo bracelets with diamonds and rubies pavée. Created in 1934, this type of bracelet was named after the nickname of Louis Arpels, one of the Maison’s founding members. Almost 100 years later is stays the undeniable material heritage of the brand's DNA.

Three new automatons were as well the hot spots at VCA's booth decorated as the enchanted forest at the sunset. The dim light of the pavilion made in lacquered panels in dark green and azure blue shades was a perfect scene to present the magical work of the extraordinary time-telling object. Just check the video for a mesmerising view of the Floraison du Nénuphar, Eveil du Cyclamen, and a new Planetarium.
